I suspect delirium

If you look after someone who is older or frail it is important to know about delirium. If the person is acting differently from usual or is suddenly sleepy or confused – seek help from a health care professional and ask them to consider Delirium. Delirium can be caused by simple infections, illness or pain. Treatment of the illness, infection or pain can reduce the delirium or even stop it.
